In 2014 Cardiff hosted the UK’s first-ever Django conference. The inaugural Django Weekend Cardiff took place at Cardiff University in Wales, from the 7th to the 9th February, for three days of talks, tutorials, code sprints and clinics.
Django Weekend Cardiff is a Django/Python non-profit community event, organised and run entirely by volunteers. The conference is Django-focused, but all aspects of Python fall within its remit.
Friday’s our open day. You’re invited to learn more about Python and Django, and find out what you can do with them.
All Friday’s talks and tutorials are free and open to all.
Saturday’s programme of technical talks covers topics right across the range.
Speakers will be discussing astronomy, cloud deployment, meta-programming and more.
Sunday is dedicated to community activity - sprints & clinics.
Make your contribution to the software you rely on, and get help from the most expert of experts.
Django Weekend Cardiff was generously supported by sponsors.
Every penny received in support went directly towards making this a better conference and improving the experience enjoyed by attendees.
